My daughter and I took a guided tour of the cooperate, maker of oak whiskey barrels. It amazes me that it's possible to make a barrel out of wood, without glue, that won't leak liquid. The barrels are even tested with air and must hold pressure for a designated period of time. The tour is quite interesting and informative, lasting an hour and a half.
Very cool experience to see how the barrels are made at scale
