I'm very happy with the work from George and his team. They pulled off a great refresh on our older house. The team started on schedule, came on time every day and worked very hard, paying attention to details and they were also very polite and friendly. George was there every day to check the work, talk about the plan for the day and was very communicative the entire time. I felt the project was in good hands from start to finish.

George and his team did an excellent job on our exterior house painting. They were very detail oriented, making sure the job was done to a high quality, and also consistently following up with any questions. His crew was respectful and did a good job of cleaning up each day and at the end of the job. I would highly recommend Independent Painters to anyone in NJ.

In summer 2025 I worked with George Mera to get the exterior of my house painted. He was really easy to work with, he clearly laid out exactly what was going to happen in terms of prep, priming and painting, and he made sure I understood what needed to be done in terms of physical repair (carpentry, shingles, etc.). We highly recommend using Independent Painters! They are professional, responsive, helpful, and meticulous. Our house was long overdue for exterior painting and required carpentry to replace rotted wood. They did a fantastic job taking our home from “crusty” to “💯curb appeal” We also had them do interior work - replace a ceiling, plaster repair, and painting - MUCH better than we could have done DIY - totally worth it - so fresh and sharp. Updating my review as we use Independent Painters often. They just swooped in again to patch and paint a much used room. The transformation was fantastic! Not only are they excellent painters, but repairs from teenager wear and tear disappear. I thought it was too small of a job but they got it scheduled and did it quickly! Very dependable and responsive. We have used Independent Painters for over 15 years now - they always do a fantastic job.
