Independent HomeCare is a wonderful place to work! Shannon and Becky are so helpful and accommodating with my schedule. They are very mindful of my family and the need for me to be home with my baby. I love all of my clients and enjoy having the opportunity to learn new skills. The effective communication within our team is incredible and Shannon is always here for us!
We called on Shannon when our mom ended up falling and ending up with multiple fractures of the pelvis, sternum and neck. She was living in a wonderful Assisted Living facility and after surgery, hospitalization, and a month of rehab, was able to return home to this facilty. However, we needed to hire some extra care for her, as she no longer could manage as an assisted living resident. We wanted her to stay in her home, in this facility, so we called Shannon for help. IHC provides reliable, competent caregivers. They treat clients with respect and make the experience of being helped easier to accept. I'm glad to have them. And even more glad for my family. They've helped us learn how to be helped.
The caregivers provided for my mother were always on time, always patient and kind, always communicative with me and collaborative with other nurses or health care providers. They helped with preparing food and eating, personal hygiene and dressing, sometimes just talking and keeping my Mom company. I could not have asked for better care and support in my mother's last months.
