As a healthcare provider with experience working for a private payor, I am horrified by the lack of customer support and care given to IH members. Between their app not being maintained, mis-use of HIPPA privacy and protections to essentially block access to care to a minor’s care needs, and being told about one form at a time to draw out the process of access to care unnecessarily, I am disheartened and beyond displeased with the coverage, incompetence and lack of compassion from Independent Health.
Once again I cannot access my plan in your website or the app. No information and it says I need to link my account. This happened a couple of months ago. I do not understand why this is continuously happening to me. I will be reporting this to the state. Fix your technology. This is exhausting and it feels like every time it happens you tell me it’s fine and that it’s somehow my fault
My doctor will not order the imaging I need because they said they do not want to deal with the insurance company. You. I am in agony and I cannot get help because you have made it impossible for doctors. I will not let this go. This isn’t right.
Don’t bother doing their “appointment surveys” that they email you after seeing a specialist or doctor. They are pointless. I raised very real concerns and IHA just ignored it. They side with doctor no matter how much the patient is harmed. Just report the doctor to the state
Independent Health medical director has no concern for any participants who have comorbities. If people die, they make out better. I recall a time, 20 yrs or so ago when Independent Health was insurance that was sought after with great coverage at a decent cost.
