I lost my PDM to control the insulin Injected into my body to cause my lows. This plays God with peoples lives. They want you to go to the hospital I stead of approving to replace the device. Only cares about money. How is a double digit increase year over year legal?
I am gravely ill and independent health has always been fair. They don’t approve everything but are willing to help you when needed. One example is them pre authorizing my pain medication indefinitely or there coverage of the Cleveland clinic in network so I can receive the best care.
ABSOLUTELY NO BACKBONE when it comes to supporting their customers, uses timely filing as their excuse to deny claims. Can take in money at any time but when it comes to paying it out that's another story. Wanted to have good things to say but they refused to listen and make it impossible to be reached. It takes weeks to find a representative to talk to, they promise to call back on this day, p.s. they never do. Go with another insurance at all costs. Zero star rating
Edit: IHA, perhaps you should consider yourself the steward of the health of those you insure rather than the steward of their dollars. If what was best for the health of those you insure was what informed your decisions, I imagine you'd have satisfied customers and a much higher rating.
