Independent Village Aurora Ohio is a great choice for our mother. She is cared for in a well-maintained facility. She has been there three years and enjoys her apartment. She has made friends and been involved in the activities. It is the right place, at the right time for her and definitely recommend.
IV Aurora has some of kindest people living and working here. They really welcome someone new and "show them the ropes." The choices of how to spend their time are remarkable--painting, bell choir, even virtual college classes! The food smells, looks and tastes amazing. Employees go above and beyond every day you can tell that their hearts are 100% into what they do.
DO NOT SEND your ones here. The stories of neglect are unreal. Telling my grand mother she will have to sit for hours to be changed. Blatant disregard for patients. They will tell you what ever you want to hear to get you in. The reviews are inflated. This is not assisted living it’s a cash grab. If you love your parents or grand parents DO NOT put them here!
My parents spent their entire adult lives in one house except for when they moved to IV the last 2 years of their lives. After a few months of adjustment, they considered IV of Aurora their home and the staff and caregivers their family. The love that comes from IV is palpable. Everyone who works there are 100% dedicated to happiness and well being of every resident. Our family was blessed to find Independence Village.
