Even before I stepped into the waiting area for my first visit, Kara helped me to feel comfortable and safe by letting me know what to expect. Her intake questions were thorough, and I felt like she truly listened to me. She did a fantastic job explaining what to expect once I was on the table. More than once I have nearly fallen asleep during my appointments. She has taken the time to give me suggestions for reducing my pain/tension between sessions as well. I've worked with a lot of massage therapists over the years, and my experience with Kara is at the very top. She was sensitive to my needs, was clear in communicating to me in advance so that I would know what to expect, and the work she was really good. It was a holistic experience that was both restful and restorative. I'll definitely be booking with her again soon.
Kara's a very skilled massage therapist who has helped me with different challenges over the past three years. She has a very quiet, calming presence and is very skilled at sharing her knowledge of massage. I always leave feeling that I know more about my body mechanics and how to fine-tune them during the time between my massage sessions. I highly recommend In My Hands Massage & Bodyworks!
Received a generous gift from a friend for an hour massage with Kara. Kara knows what she is doing. She catered to my preferences and areas of need, her space is calming and inviting. When I left I told my friends it was the best massage I have ever had in Bloomington. (I enjoy treating myself to a massage or spa treatment and have had massages at 4 other Bloomington establishments)
