Mixed review, when my muffler came off on a Sunday they were very helpful doing a temporary repair , however when I came back to have the new muffler installed it was not put on properly and had to take it to a muffler shop elsewhere. Maybe leave the muffler work to the pros
NEVER GO HERE. I went there to get my bmw diagnosed, they charged me 170 an hour just to tell me something that I already know. So I asked the front desk lady what kind of test they did, then she proceeded to start yelling at me accusing me of not paying for the diagnostic they didn’t even do. It was stuck in park, they “diagnosed it” out in the parking lot and never even brought it in the shop. And said “there’s no way for us to put it into neutral” which I know isn’t true because ive had to do it before. NEVER go here.
I’ve been to a lot of different mechanic shops over the years. Because I move around a fair bit, I’ve never really had a regular go-to place — until now. I can honestly say that In-Gear Mechanical has been the best mechanic experience I’ve had. They really know what they’re doing, but they’re also friendly, welcoming, and easy to deal with. Can't say enough good things about this place. Always friendly, efficient, responsive, and gone above and beyond for me across various times I've had a vehicle looked at by them. Easily the best experience I've had with an auto shop in the Kootenays and it ain't remotely close.
They are the mechanic shop in the Kooteney‘s!!
