Horrible experience at Schafers Buy Sell Trade. I was interested in a vehicle but my wife died Sept 19th last year so I'm by myself so I asked if it could be delivered as it's 75 miles away, response was they would. I need a car to make doctor appointments so I went down picked out a vehicle paid cash which was deposited next day and my bank cleared. It's 12 days now and no car. Sometimes they answer the phone sometimes not, a few excuses were made when they did answer.
Would not buy a vehicle from here, junk. I’ve had mine just about 3 months and it’s been in the shop twice. Still actually in the shop and it’s been there for almost 3 weeks. I tried to contact them and get no response. Obviously the vehicles don’t get looked over from a mechanic before they put them out for sale. The shop said if it was looked over they would have caught the issue. Not happy at all, for what I paid for the vehicle and now to get it fixed, I could have bought a newer one. Not happy at all
Shane treated us fairly, we bought a used pick up, it had some miles on it but drove and ran great. Very happy with the purchase and his prices are better than the mega dealerships. We will definitely talk to him next time we need a used vehicle.
I bought a Chevy avalanche from Shane at the end of November. I spent a little more to get something with a warranty being we do a lot of driving for Dr appointments. I recently had my stomach and half my esophagus removed due to cancer. Two days after I purchased the vehicle the upper ball joint busted. Damaging the wheel bearing. I just bought a truck from him and he is making things right and is very friendly to work with didn't push like most dealerships to by any car/truck let us make the decision if we wanted to buy it or not we will be going back to him.
