Highly recommended I've used many mechanics over the years before being transferred to Seattle and have had nothing but good, professional and fair priced service from this place . I also like how they don't sell you on anything. It's all objective workmanship. I've brought three different cars and everything was done professionally. They have been, at times, hard to reach but that's been because they get quite busy.
Import Service Ctr is Honest,Reliable,Professional! After years of being let down by other repair shops a friend told me where she has taken her car since she bought it and received overall great service. She was right! I now have been taking my car to these guys for over 15 years and it's a nice feeling to know not only will the work get done correctly and at a reasonable price but their HONEST. No surprise repairs or overruns. Jim, who initially I first met has been working on my last 2 Toyotas and I will never take them t... read more
"The Best of the Best in Auto Repair" We have been going to Import Service Center for over 15 years now. We have always been treated with the best customer service anywhere from this shop! Where else would you have a mechanic after being told by me replace all of my brakes they call you and say you only needed the front not the rear? This business knows they can make an honest living without being dishonest. Prices Not the cheapest or highest. They are not a charity outfit but are considerably less than the dealership. We fo... read more
A truly trustworthy shop My first experience with the Import Service Center was back in 1983 when I was trying to fix an oil pressure sending unit in our Toyota wagon, I broke the thing off inside the engine block, Embarrassed, I took it to import service because it was the closest shop to my house at the time and I didn't want to loose all the oil out of the car driving it very far. Jim who is still there today, tapped out the old threads, installed a new oil pressure sending unit and didn't embarrass me further by what a s... read more
Honest Mechanics: the best experience I've had with auto repair in Seattle My experiences with Import Serice Center have been great. 1. The first time we went there was at the recommendation of a friend who said they were very honest and wouldn't try to repair what wasn't needed. We went after a previous mechanic had failed to fix our overheating problem after 4 visits. They fixed it the first try. 2. Our second visit there was no charge because the issue was minor. I highly recommend these guys if you want to take your auto... read more
Bad Pricing, Mean Service I went to Import Service Center to have brakes installed, and a few other minor adjustments. They wanted over 600 dollars for the service. That same day I went to another auto repair shop and they charged 200 for the exact same things. The difference was incredible. When they thought I was going to be a customer, they were very courteous, but when I told them I wouldn't be doing the repairs their tone quickly changed. I just didn't like the way I was treated and would recommend another auto repair s... read more
Excellent and honest service When Carter Volkswagen treated us poorly, we visited Import Service Centre for our new Bettle. These folks are honest, friendly, happy to have us as customers and they do great work. The new Bettle is not an easy car to work on, nor is it very reliable, so it's been nice to have a group that work on it well. When Import Service Centre was unable to fix a particular problem with the check engine light, they asked us to visit the dealer instead of charging us for guess-and-check work. This was high... read more
