Step back in time to 1879 when the Gold Rush was in full swing, Amador City was a bustling mining town, the Imperial Hotel opened its doors to prosperous Victorian hotel guests. Today the miners are gone, but Amador City retains its historic character, and the beautifully restored Imperial Hotel still offers a warm and gracious welcome to visitors to the Gold Country. Described as both elegant and whimsical, with a rich, seductive opulence, Imperial Hotel is a place where time does not stand still, but it does slow down. Loc... read more

Not sure if I have the words to describe this place. The Imperial Hotel is nestled in is one of the most beautiful wine regions and the quaintest little gold rush town in the world, it is staffed by the absolute friendliest and most welcoming people you can imagine, and the accommodations are exactly what is needed to make a trip out there everything you could want. If you ain’t careful, you may just fall in love here. Highly, highly recommend.

This is our favorite place to place in Amador County! The beds and linens are so comfortable. The rooms are spotless. The mini bar offers local wines and fun snacks for that late night bite. And to top it off the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I can't recommend staying at The Imperial Hotel enough. If your there during the weekend be sure to stop in the restaurant for an expertly crafted cocktail and delicious meal.
Our company booked the Imperial Hotel for a staff retreat. The number of rooms fit our needs perfectly, so we had them all. The process of booking, the service, the food (we added breakfast for the team over two days), the details, the historical charm, the location - everything was AMAZING. I have a personal love for Amador City and come for a half day every year the last few years; I've decided to extend it to a 1-2 night trip in the future, and I plan to stay at the Imperial. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
