Great service and it is old style 5 star hotel. Recommend for couple. Only outside pool not friendly for kids due to the weather sometimes.
Arrived at hotel 13/03/2026. While the rooms are lovely, room 421 has a broken tap, iron and ironing board. Not ideal when dressing for an occasion. 13/03/26 spent evening in hotel bar, staff unorganised, slow and drinks never arrived or where left on the bar too long. Eve after speaking to the hotel door man a round of drinks were promised to us and they never arrived. My three friends and I had an awful experience.
I only awarded one star due to the staff outside, not to the experience at the event today. Today I was subjected to appalling conduct and attitude by "Holly", the event/food manager for the Women in Racing event today in the Corporate Suites. I tried to catch her attention a number of times when serving the main meal to others to ensure my vegetarian, gluten free, low carb diet was met. They charge for items you have not consumed and then offer a refund. 2 months later and after numerous emails they are ignoring the refund. Very poor service considering how much we paid to stay there EDIT 17/3/2026... Still awaiting the promised refund after numerous emails. Seems like a complaint to Business & Consumer Affairs might be my next step.
Building & pool are beautiful. Rooms and furniture visibly "tired". Breakfast ok, and you are charged for more than one coffee. Overall staff is nice and professional, but housekeeping is definitely not 5 star. Gym was closed, and nobody knew why & how long for. So, 3 stars with + for staff trying their best. Definitely not a 5 star overall, but priced as a five star..
