Same issue as with another reviewer. Clearly paid for two hour parking (A ridiculous $18 including Hang Tag app fee) only to have received a $98 ticket well before (1/2 hr+) expiry. From an enjoyable evening out with family to the frustration of receiving an expensive notice that should have never have been delivered. With nothing better to do with my time... I am posting on behalf of a young Ukrainian couple that we are presently hosting. They have only been in Kelowna for 2 months and decided to go downtown on Halloween evening to see what it was like….they have limited English, limited money and are not familiar yet with the city of Kelowna. They parked in Lot #252 and went to the parking box that they thought was associated with this lot and after several minutes they managed to figure out how to pay and got a receipt. I don't go out often and found myself parking behind the Kelly o's building downtown Kelowna Saturday night. I was under the impression that parking on weekends and evenings downtown Kelowna was free, boy was I wrong. lot #252 is a disgrace to the downtown economy. With half the spots remaining open in the lot, I received a hefty ticket of $98.00 stating that the reason for this absurd amount was to cover the cost of lost revenue. lot charges $17 per two hours... so you can see where my confusion about lost revenue comes fro... read more
