I use my PD500 regularly. It's a great machine and the IML staff and tech help has always been there for me.
We have worked with IML for about 5 years and have had a great experience overall. We use their PD drills for evaluating timber piles and other timber bridge members. The equipment is very user-friendly, and IML's team of professionals provided comprehensive initial training and has been available on-call to provide support as needed. We initially rented units from them until we acquired a unit of our own.
Purchased the PD600 in 2025 for assessing utility poles owned by our city owned municipal electric utility. The drill and software has been great in identifying compromised poles needing replacement. It is pretty amazing to compare the measurements of rot in the software and compare to the actual rot once a pole has been removed from service and cut open. Very accurate. The staff at IML was excellent, both during the purchasing process and assisting with questions and training.
Been using IML products for years now for utility inspections. The tools are awesome and really help in real time make quality decisions. The IML service team and IT people are great to work with and respond quickly.
