I remember when this was a forest that I enjoyed exploring when I was a teenager from the Latta kayak launch. It's very much a shame that a developer picked this up before Mecklenburg could make it a public park. Just more land that will never be the same, ever again. But at least people can have their docks! I definitely preferred the view of the sunset from buzzard rock when it was just looking at a forest, not cracker boxes that will be deteriorating in 50 years.
