LOVE this salon!! I move alot and have been to many stylists in different states, but Andra is the best Ive found! It was my first time putting actual colors in my hair, I gave her a vague idea; nothing too loud, but I wanted purple and/or blue, she did both and It came out AMAZING!! I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair.. She was thorough and took her time, and it shows. They are very accomadating, and all the ladies there are extremely nice! I will be returning as long as I am in the area.
Didn't feel like I was at Aveda I have been to Aveda day spas in several different states, and I have to say that my experience at Illusions in April, 2011, was not up to Aveda's usual standards.
an expensive disappointment I love Aveda so when my regular stylist was booked, I decided to do something special for myself and go to Illusions. Normally, i pay $80 for a cut and color. After dropping $130 at Illusions I felt I had made a mistake. The cut wasn't what I asked for and the color was uneven and wrong.I stopped by to try to get it straightened out and they agreed it should be fixed. Very pampering! I love this spa! They use only Aveda products, which are all-natural. You also get a short neck and scalp massage before every haircut (makes it worth the higher price!). They are a full-service salon offering facials, hair removal, massages, etc. If you want to pamper yourself, go here!
Thumbs UP I love Illusions and the girls. I see Andra for my color every time and she is great. Everyone is so bubbly when you walk in the door and you couldn't have a better experience. Aside from the tea and hand massages after you are colored, they make rescheduling a breeze and work with your schedule.
AMAZING! I have been completely satisfied with all of my visits to Illusions. I have been going to this salon for over 10 years. All of the staff goes through rigorous training (in addition to basic beauty school) and practice. The stylist I go to studied hair in London and LA under some of the top names. She is an expert at color and cut.
Poor I had expected much more from this salon since it sold Aveda products. The person who cut my hair ignored my few specific requests- further she cut my hair far shorter than we had agreed upon. Perhaps with some skill this would not have been so bad- but in addition to cutting my hair too short she gave me a really ugly cut that is difficult to work with. She also tried to sell me products during the whole haircut. I had been here once before and recieved a mediocre haircut. I can't recommend it.
