I lived here when it was a children’s home not the sparo group, I lived there for almost 6 years it taught me a lot about growing up I learned how to get a bank account at 13 I wasn’t a easy child but in the end I was so glad to be at such a establishment, the staff felt like family! My lodge made me feel welcomed I’m upset it closed down and got sold to another group! I loved it soo much I wanted to work there to help other kids/girls who went through what I went through. I remember this place back in December 1994 to February 1995. It was so bad there for my 3 siblings n me. They had kept us separated from each other. My mother ended up moving to Wisconsin n kidnapped us kids from this place right after my great grandmother funeral that they didn't want us going to but my mom demanded it with courts help but nobody knew she saved us from there.

Its one thing when strangers , are stating their opinion on this place but I used to be a former client that had residency in this home , lived there for an entire year and got way more insight . The home was removed the name " Masonic Home " & given the name "Spero Family Services Girls Group Home " due to DCFS taking ownership & licensing of the previous home , and utilizing the home for DCFS youth who are in need .
