We have been Illegal Pete's customers for years, and have always enjoyed delicious, local burritos. Tonight we had an unwelcomed experience. After a tough day, our family needed a quick bite, and we made it to Illegal Petes at 8:45pm. We were well aware that it was 15 minutes till they closed, and we apologized quite a bit. Dry. "Expensive and Dry" is how I would sum it up. Despite ordering lots of extras, the burritos were mostly rice. Even the tortillas were dry and papery. If I paid half as much I wouldn't be as disappointed, but I was expecting moist, flavorful deluxe burritos and succulent meats for the price. I ordered 2 types of meats with different salsas, different rice etc, and both were dry and low on flavor. The "spiciest" house salsas was hardly noticeable, almost as if they didn't put any in.
