The front staff are nice and so was my therapist, only problem was when I first got there for the first time with my mum there was an email sent to them specifically saying not to mention a thing about an ED that I wasn’t even sure I had yet which made me cry because my mother was confused because she didn’t know. My therapist was nice but after a while I felt as if she didn’t care anymore, she seemed uninterested because I kept talking about the same thing when that’s literally why I was there. Just terrible and uncomfortable. Also really sketchy when you visit and walk in, feels more like a mental hospital.
Told my parents most things I said, even when it wasn’t gonna harm me or others, if I say stuff to vent about my mum, you don’t tell her…
Absolutely hopeless They traumatised me to the point from going from an executive chef in a fine dining restaurant to being on the disability support pension. A random staff member threatened to take me off my medications over the phone for refusing to put myself in a position where I felt unsafe by going into their office, I offered and did go to both Wollongong and Shellharbour ER and they refused to listen to hospital staff. thus cmht invalidated my needs to feel safe when reaching out. Just a disaster. Staff unable to keep promises and getting in touch with your social worker is next to impossible. Someone there even blocked my number during crisis. I left a voicemail before they opened then waited half an hour after they opened to get a call back. With no response I called back numerous times but the phone kept going to voicemail telling me to call during business hours! Clearly someone running the front desk in the morning is too lazy to do their job. I was also once blamed for "missing" my pyschiatrist ... read more
