It’s literally too good. My favorite place
We were greeted by a very sharp dressed man by the name of John, he's the owner! Tony came by to make us feel boujee'r and read the menu to us. We decided on table side Ceasars salad that was made so beautifully, best I've eaten, by Gian Carlo. We had the parmesan encrusted halibut and Pollo special of the day! All I will say is WOW! I mentioned to John that I haven't eaten a lot of homemade noodles, so he brought a bowl of spaghetti noodles covered in a balognese that was so succulent! The best way describe our dinner the other night is WOW…amazing authentic Italian dishes from the bruschetta, anti pasta, mushroom stuffed ravioli, seafood linguini, tasty deserts and don’t forget to have the after dinner grappa a try. You’ll be glad you decided on II Tinello Italian restaurant on 56th. St.
Avoid at all costs. This is a tourist trap, recommended by a hotel concierge (kick back anyone??!). Food was meh. Advertised homemade pasta, def not special. Bread was stale. When they read the specials they don’t mention the price, my entree was $95!! There was a $100 markup on average wines. Would love to have this evening back to explore one of the thousands of quality Italian restaurants in NYC.
Il Tinello on 56th is wonderful! The service is perfect and everything we had on the menu was excellent. Eggplant parm, clams, veal dishes, lobster fra diavolo, chicken piccata were delicious. And the wine was great. Highly recommend!
