My wife and I had dinner there recently, and had a great time. This is Northern Italian restaurant, and it has been there since 1973 - I can see why. We were seated by a window with a view up King Street. Our waiter, Emilio, took great care of us, from the opening cocktails through the dinner and dessert. Portions were ample, and it was wise to share the appetizer (Burrata al caprese - excellent!) to leave room for the main course. The music was beautiful, the food was delicious and filling, and the setting was gorgeous. We felt as if the Mediterranean coast was just on the other side of the wall and we were traveling in Europe. It is worth mentioning that our waiter, Eswin, did an excellent job and was extremely attentive. He found the perfect balance between coming to our table too often and infrequently. He spoke in a strong yet respectful demeanor that added to the atmosphere itself.
Not our first visit, the food is OK and not cheap but we were hungry and out of options. The food was once again, OK. However, they had to redo the bill 4 times and it was still wrong but we were tired of dealing with them. Not planning a revisit.
It was very nice patio seating. Atmosphere is great. Handmade pasta is delicious, i recommend calamari and tiramisu.
Handmade pastas are delicious. I recommend white sauce. It is so fun patio seating. We were lucky it was an amazing evening.
