I recently visited Il Pesce, located inside Eataly. We didn’t have a reservation, so we took seats at the bar, which turned out to be a really fun experience. The bar seating overlooks the kitchen, so we got to watch the chef in action, which added a lively and engaging vibe to our meal. The food was very good — fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Il Pesce in the West Village serves fresh, flavorful Italian seafood with perfectly prepared pastas and fish dishes. I loved the delicate flavors, quality ingredients, and thoughtful presentation. The cozy, inviting atmosphere and attentive staff make it perfect for a relaxed dinner or special occasion, and every visit feels memorable and satisfying.
Basically a high-end food court which specializes in seafood. Overall the Eataly experience was very good. I’ll focus on my meal. As an appetizer I started with Hawaiian head-on shrimp(Gamberi). Although well seasoned and prepared three medium-large shrimp for $32 was a bit pricey. My entree was the large gauge spaghetti pasta w/clam sauce(Bigoli con le vongole) this dish was tasty. Javier did a great job!!
Pasta was okay but the calamari was very bad, fishy and bitter. Service was not great at all, felt brusque. For the price it is not at all worth eating here.
