First of all, let me start by saying that we have dined at Il Fresco many times as the food is very good and the decor delightful. However, my last experience there will be my LAST bc it was the single most horrible experience we have ever had at ANY restaurant. We were seated on a Saturday night with NO reservation. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Had a terrible experience. I ordered a meal, which turned out to be incredibly spicey hot. I told the waiter I could not eat it, and asked if I could order something else. They took the meal away, and then returned to tell me I had to pay for the meal, they would NOT take the meal off the bill. I also did not get the food returned either!

Horrible Food and Even Worse Service – This place was recommended to us by an excellent hotel in the area and all I can say is I was given horrible advise. I actually thought it was more like a joke. Wobbly tables, horrrendous Italian cuisine, wrong food served, street lights shining in your eyes, service with a chip on their shoulder. Just an overall horrible experience. And, I had the privlidge of paying almost $200 for it. I actually feel bad for anyone who dines here.

A 200+ Year Old Disappointment! – A truly disappointing experience. It began with a hostess whom really wanted to be somewhere else. I don't understand why people work in the service industry if they can't stand people. We were seated without being given a wine list. And my utensils were not as clean as they could be. Walk Away As Fast As You Can – Isn't worth the effort to put on a pair of shoes. If you want descent Italian cooking, there are plenty of other excellent choices in Rockland County. I would actually go so far as to say that Olive Garden is a better choice. This place is a laughable choice. Garbage, garbage, garbage. Save your money and order Pizza Hut if you want an Il Fresco-like Italian experience.

been to 1000 ny city restuarents, this is #1 in my book. food is greate, atmosphere incrediable. building dates back to 1720's!!!

REstaurant I have been to this restaurant several times and have enjoyed it each time. The food is great and the wines by the glass are good. It is a small venue but can accommodate parties of up to 30. The outside seating is pretty but obviously seasonal.

Great food // great martini list // romantic – This place is a find. Great choise of menu and great specials. A great place for a romantic dinner. Small dining area. Everything you want to have an enjoyable evening out. Once you go, you'll want to go back.
