I had a wonderful, comforting meal. The food was HOT and fresh. Service was very personable and made an impression. I will stop by again when I am in town!
Found a little gem in Florence, if you like italian food this is the place to go.
We were traveling on I-95 and wanted good Italian food. We were close to Florence and chose to stop here. The servers, Emily and Grindeesha(?) were delighted and knowledgeable. The bread was piping hot and served with garlic infused EVOO. The buratta with tomatoes and pesto was very fresh and delicious. If you know, you know!!!! As an italian and a New Yorker, I'm a newbie here in Florence and all I can tell you is, if you're looking for true authentic italian flavors, look no further! Alessandro has brought a little bit of Italy here in Florence and I'm impressed! We started off with the mussels appetizers, red sauce of course. Tonight, we ate dinner at Il Buongustaio and it definitely did not disappoint. The appetizers to the desserts were deliciously prepared and served. It is a definite “must return” type of restaurant.
