I had an odd experience with this salon that I thought was worth sharing. For some context, I scheduled an appointment online for 1/21/2025 at Shea Hair Studio. I've been going to the same salon for a couple years but I was flying my mom into Richmond for her 70th birthday on 2/1 and wanted to get my haircut by someone that specializes in thick curly hair. I never write reviews but Shea did an amazing job!!!! She brought my curls back to LIFEEEE. She was super sweet and really cared about what I wanted. My favorite curly cut so far, will def go back! Highly recommend!!!
I got a hair cut back in November. I was late to my appointment because of the crazy road closures from the event that was happening but she's was super busy that day and was backed up. She was very nice and definitely knew what she was doing. My biggest complaint is that thinning shears were used on my fine, low to medium density wavy hair and it has damaged my pattern really badly.
