Let’s start with the obvious: IHOP has pancakes in the name. You’d think that means something special… but every IHOP I’ve been to leaves me disappointed. San Leandro is no different. The pancakes taste like a box mix you just add water to. Crepes looked nice but had the same problem: no flavor. This location also felt a bit dark, and service was slow. Don’t get me wrong, the food is pretty delicious here but the atmosphere and service of this place can get pretty bad. Especially when the managers treat their employees like crap. I don’t work there but by the looks of it the managers don’t know whether to set their employees to bust down tables, handle food orders, or clean dishes. Breaks my heart seeing the employees being treated poorly by their higher ups. If you plan on working here, be prepared to be treated like nothing.
