VERY SHADY - a representative from *** came to my door (its January, freezing outside) claiming they were from my city and the city had sent them to lower my bills. Never once identified herself as an *** representative during our entire conversation and told me I had missed letters from my utilities companies and the city about them saving me money. The representatives are very pushy and do not take no for an answer until they coerce you into signing a contract without you realizing your signing an actual contract. They are very misleading. A few years back they called and showed up at my door after first stating I was busy. Then while I clearly stated I was busy at work and in the middle of a clinic the gentleman would not let up. *** hires contractors for solicitations to attract customers. The contractor (Vision *********************** made completely false statements that mislead customers (me) in financing ********************** plates. My solar plates were not even up and running, due to various permit and unreliable servicing or connection of plates, for at least two years. During the two years, I had various visits from either IGS/Vision Solar or both for starting the connection. The workers would show up at my residence unannounced at random t... read more
The guy who came to my door was very knowledgeable and walked me through my Columbia Gas bill to show how I could save if I switched to a fixed plan.

Rude solicitors. They try to get you signed up for something, not really telling you anything about what it is. They put pressure on you and try to make you feel you are missing out on something...some 'benefit' but you dont know what that is. Then I look them up on BBB and find they are scammers.

We were sold the system and upon refinancing our home, we were told that we cannot payoff the "lease" until the sixth year! This was Not explained to us by the ******** representative and *** never contacted us at all! In other words they want to be able to charge $103 monthly for 5 years and make money. This is poor business practices!

Lies said it would be fixed. It was only for a short period and then goes to variable. No mention of that when signing up. Watch what you sign up for.

Thank you for your feedback. *** offers fixed terms for 12, 24 and 36 months. A notice will be sent at end of term advising the account will be placed on a variable rate. This would allow a customer to lock into a new fixed rate.
Scammers - door to door salesman lied to me to get me to change my provider, I then canceled within 24 hours after reviewing the information I received (which is the consumers right), and now 4 months later I received an invoice from them. Invoice was for a solar program that I specifically didnt cancel - even thought I canceled everything that was sold to me. Stay far away from these scammers.
