New Owners completely changed the shop within weeks. No more filthy smell, no rats, produce quality is amazing. Very good range of local and international products, fridges are cleaned, staff is very helpful, no more expired stock, freezers looks amazing. Well done, you guys deserve 5 stars.

Update 16/5/26: PERMANENTLY CLOSED. The health and safety of Darlinghurst residents is now safe. Romeo’s and IGA should be embarrassed by what this store became - Filthy, crawling with rats, and packed with expired stock. After the refurb around 12 years ago, it was actually a great addition to Darlinghurst. But once Romeo’s took over, the standards fell off fast and just kept getting worse. No more expired foods, no more giant rats, no more broken escalators and constantly-wet slip-hazard floors and, perhaps most important of all, no more lies about their operating hours!
