This B&B is, by far, one of the nicest places we've stayed! We were at the Glen for a vintage car show. The Victorian home is simply GORGEOUS! The owner, Marcus, is so nice and made us feel "at home". Our room was beautiful! It was spacious, and we had a sitting room in the turret , which was part of our room. Breakfast was delicious! We will definitely choose to stay here again when we're in the area! I would give them "10 stars" !
This Bed and Breakfast was more than just a place to spend a night. It was an experience. We felt welcome during entire stay. Marcus, who run the B&B managed to make us feel special. The house, insanely romantic by the way, is located steps away from Seneca lake. They prepared different breakfast for their guests every day, that were able to enjoy on the porch overlooking the lake. In a nutshell, highly recommend.
My wife and I had a wonderful time here, we definitely plan to return. Marcus was amazing and it was clear he loved hosting all his guests. Made a few friends while we were there too and checked out some of the local beer and wine together. The food was amazing every morning and every morning is was something new and just as delicious as the day prior. I really enjoyed my stay at Idlewilde Bed and Breakfast at Watkins Glen. I was greeted by Marcus, he is very personable and accommodating. The Inn is beautiful, Marcus gave me the grand tour and told me a little about the history of this place. Breakfast was a delight, the food was so delicious and impressive. Beautiful residence. Outstanding: location, service, food, and overall hospitality. Excellent, and easy, admin. and communication with the owner/host. I would travel hours just simply for the pleasure of staying there and hope to do so again. Pup, Stella, was a wonderful bonus.
