My wife and I drove up from NJ, close to five hours with traffic, hoping for a quiet weekend away. The house looks beautiful from the outside, but our experience once we arrived did not match that first impression. The floor was noticeably uneven, which might be part of the building’s age, but it made moving around awkward and uncomfortable. Breathtaking views and stunningly beautiful ( meticulously kept) home, with the warmest welcomes - and amazing breakfast! The best B&B experience - can’t wait to book again!
We loved our stay here! Marcus was friendly and helpful in making sure our stay was perfect. He gave recommendations on food, wineries, things to do, etc. The common areas were beautifully decorated and filled with games and puzzles. Breakfast every morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. The location is close to downtown. We can’t wait to go back!
The Inn is run by a very attentive couple Marcus and his wife Elin. Very meticulously kept. The bathroom was spotless. The amazing wrap around porch was a great spot for viewing the bay and marina. The breakfast served was just delicious. Fabulous blueberry bread French toast and baked stuffed apple with eggs and perfectly cooked bacon. Waited on hand and foot. Great property ! Expansive! Plenty of parking! Wonderful restaurants locally down the hill from the Inn for dinner. Loved this property, its owners and staff!
Marcus and his wife have created something really special in the finger lakes. Our stay at Idlwilde was the highlight of our trip. Waking up to the smell of breakfast cooking and watching the sunrise over the hill with all of the guests of the inn, engaging in conversation with other travelers, learning the history of the area—everything was just perfect.
