We stayed in The Barn for 5 days and 4 nights and could have happily stayed longer. It is not really a barn at all, maybe at one time. Rather a well-appointed and carefully thought out renovated accommodation with a huge wrap-around verandah. It is a combination of funk and class - which suited us. We were very comfortable. It's so quiet. And everything works well. The views from the property are lovely. (see pics) The hosts Gill and James are focussed on serving their guests and making sure they are happy. Just reluctantly came home from three wonderful nights spent at the Idlewild Willow Cottage. Surrounded by paddocks with gorgeous baby lambs, it was so peaceful. Our hosts Gill and James went above and beyond to provide everything you could possibly need including fresh milk, eggs and bacon and some delicious homemade citris butter. The cottage was impeccably clean. Would highly recommend Idlewild Bridgetown. Thank you for a wonderful stay
Our family of four had an incredible stay at Idlewild. Gill and James have created a peaceful escape surrounded by stunning countryside views. The Barn is beautifully designed, with a huge window overlooking the rolling hills — we loved watching the sheep grazing and soaking up the calm atmosphere. Hubby and I enjoyed 3 very memorable days/nights at Idlewild. Gill and James you have created the most perfect accommodation to unwind and take in all that nature has to offer. The Barn accommodation certainly has the WOW! factor. The huge unobstructed window allows for the most breathtaking view over the countryside. We sat for many hours on the deck enjoying the serenity of the property, looking at the most beautiful view and watching the sheep/lambs wandering. The accommodation has everything you need/want. We had such a lovely time at Willow Cottage. It is beautifully appointed, well equipped and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the 50 minute walk which looped around the property and loved listening to the birds and sheep. A very peaceful, comfortable getaway - thanks Gill and James
