If you are looking for a cardiologist, I absolutely cannot recommend Dr Aktan enough. She is brilliant, works closely with her team to fill in gaps, listens intently, and cares so much about her patients. She has been so kind to me and has laid out a wonderful treatment plan that includes my perspective and choices she has helped me make along the way. I just can’t put into words how much you need her and the UNC Rex staff if you are worried about your heart.
