Permit Required!!!! Permit is Required! I called Ideal Steel Buildings to find out a little information about what was required for haivng one os these structures installed. Wanted to find out if I needed a permit to have one, unfortunately they are not educated or do not care. These structures are not considered portable; they are considered accessory structure by counties and cities. Accessory structures are required to obtain a permit.
