I bought a car from Shannon at Ideal Cars, very fair, very helpful, very patient, what's not to like.
BEWARE SELLERS this guy Shannon contacted me on Facebook about my car listing for sale. He said he is wanting to buy my car. He came and checked a car negotiated the price and asked me to drop my car at Car city Ringwood at his mates yard. All this without making a single $ payment. Luckily I didn’t drop off my keys with the car. Now he made me fool for 2 days saying payments are done and I should be getting the payment in my account. Till date I have not received any payments. Started well enough. Shannon came and checked the car, seemed like a good bloke, offered a fair and reasonable price. Once agreed upon, he said the transfer paperwork was on the way, after a few texts to him over the next week he was still saying it’s on its way. I got donuts, nada, nothing. Not heard from him. Waste of time. I should’ve taken heed of a couple of recent reviews which outlined similar experiences.
BEWARE!! I was contacted last week by iDeal, Shannon, through CarSales to look at a vehicle I'm selling. They were going to come and look at it and send paperwork for the sale. After I contacted them, to no avail about not receiving said paperwork and then no reply to my messages about whether they still actually wanted to look at the car. Very disappointing in the no communication. Would not recommend. Adding an edit, tried to call the 1300 number and it's been disconnect. I smell a SCAM.
After initially trying to sell my 2018 Ford Mustang GT privately, I was swarmed with a bunch of time wasters, no shows and lowballers. So when Shannon contacted and told me he was looking to buy my car for one of his clients, I thought I was dealing with more of the same. But I was pleasantly surprised.
