The most incompetent department ever. Idaho needs to improve their vital records department. They don’t do any business in person, they mess up birth certificate information and take forever to send the certificate. I don’t know how business is still done like this in 2025. You are out of luck if you need a birth certificate asap because you won’t be able to get one. I’ve been waiting for over a month and my newborn child will be dropped from insurance without a birth certificate

These guys are the absolute worst. My wife and I have submitted close to 200$ and 3 different correction forms for birth certificates and passports and every time, they’ve still messed up and made the same mistakes they previously made. Apparently they hire a bunch of idiots here who are incompetent that they’re dealing with peoples lives and some of the most important documents in our lives.
