Due to the VILE behaviour of this group I now go to the TUH which is absolutely awesome. The 5 stars are for TUH, not the (Ignorant) staff at Icon. No one ever wants to find themselves needing the services of a cancer centre, but I’m incredibly grateful that when we did, we had the support of the team at Icon. From the moment we walked through the doors, the compassion and professionalism of everyone—from the administration team to the pharmacy staff, the nurses, and especially Dr Morris—made an incredibly difficult journey so much more bearable. No-one is choosing to go to the Icon Cancer Centre as a destination but they offer an exceptional level of service. The staff are super professional with the procedural stuff but also all the staff from reception, doctors, nurses, pathology etc are very personable and friendly. It definitely makes you feel that you are getting the best medical care available - which is what you want if you are having cancer treatment. Thank you.
I was sent for a minor medical check-up recently and found their staff to be exceptional from the reception to Dr Morris they were all very helpful, welcoming and attentive to my queries. I even had a query I had at short notice, I rang up & they fitted me in for a last minute appointment. For a follow up they even arranged a computer link hook-up as I live outside of Townsville so I did not have to travel back there - this is very helpful as am personally busy at work. Thank you to all involved at this clinic!
I was lied directly to my face by the male nurse there this morning. Will be taking legal action. Update- After being called by my specialist and told by him that I was considered "Intimidating " by staff. This statement basically means that if you are a veteran with PTSD, Depression oh and stage IV cancer, don't bother trying to be nice because it will be considered "Intimidating" and they couldn't care less.
