Love it!! I have always loved japanese food, and when i was younger i always went to Ichibiri for my birthday dinners and i think that they deserve three cheers! I LOVE ICHIBIRIS FOR BEING SO AMAZING WITH GREAT FOOD!!
Good food but... So the food is delicious, and the staff are super friendly. I have heard not-so-great things about the cleanliness levels in their kitchens though, so I've avoided it since then.
Sushi and Teppan Good Teppan and they have a Sushi Bar to boot. Fish is always fresh as it should be since they are a stones throw from the ocean. The act e.g. flipping eggs shells onto hat, gets a little old after you've seen it a few dozen times. It's a nice family run operation that is always consistent. I have a hard time in dissing local family owned businesses. They also have an early bird menu that is discounted from the typical menu. It starts at 4PM I think.
Kids loved watching the cook Want a great Teppan Steak house and Sushi Bar Japanese Restaurant? Here you go. The kids just loved watching the cook perform and cook our meal. We all sat around the grill and watched and clapped as the cook made several mistakes ( on purpose ) and the kids got a free show to keep them busy while the food was being prepared. Everything was great and the service was excellent as well. Next time we are down there we will stop by again.

We've been eating here for many years, it's a favorite spot to take out of town guests. The Teppan tables are a lot of fun, the food is excellent and healthy. We've also eaten sushi here several times, the service is good and the sushi is fresh and tasty. Good sized portions. What's not to love?

The lady with the blonde hair who is the hostess/cashier. is VERY RUDE. My boyfriend and I usually tip the chef since they do most of the work. And I went in one day and she asked me why i never tip them because the waiter complained. I found this very unprofessional and I cant believe she had the nerve to come up to me and say something. I told her we tip the chef instead since the waiter doesnt refill drinks, pick up empty bowls. I would NOT go to the Ichibiri in San Clemente, it has terriable service.
