Sunday night me ,my friend and her daughter went out to dinner. It didn't take long for them to take us to our table. We already knew what we wanted so we didn't look at the menu. So we all got Hella hot roll and added a salad for 1.95. Well that's what we thought...... We ate our food and talked and the waitress brought us our receipts. My friend looked at hers first. Ok Sushi/Sashimi Good Hibachi Grills – I find the food good and the waitstaff pleasant. While not a 5 star restaurant, certainly adequate for the locale. When I need a quick Sashimi fix, it beats a drive to Raleigh. Their Ahi Tuna is adequate, not the best but certainly palitable. Their Hibachi Grills are the most popular and tasty and local folks seem to be glad to patronize this restaurant.
You would never expect to find such excellence in a quaint town such as Henderson NC. The sushi is positively top notch and the entrees tasty as well. My favorite is the scallop hybachi. The white fish is also to die for. I highly recommend this establishment. It is a pleasant surprise and culinary delight.
The atmosphere is great and its absolutely everything you could want from a Japanese restaurant without the show. The lunch prices are great, the dinner is a little pricy. However, the food is great (so far I've tried the steak, chicken, shrimp, and sushi). Service is good. I have had better Japanese, but for the convenience of location, I have to give it a big thumbs up.
Manager with poor management and customer skills.....Don't patronize this restaurant! – (Preface: I had visited this Ichibar Japanese restaurant about 100 times (about 2 years) before this incident occured so, at least look at it from a bonafide patron's view before commenting!) My wife and I went to this restaurant one evening (as we often did) and ordered the same meal we had over 100 times in the past.
