NOT THE SAME – Just done eating at this place and was very disappointed in the changes. One of my favorite things there was their great blue cheese dressing. What they serve now I can get at the grocery store. Prices were high for what you get with your sandwich. A pickle and a taste of ice cream like before. Gone is the bag of chips and the side of either a soup or salad you have to pay extra. $3.79 for a little and I mean little bowl of soup. Friendliest Folks Around! – When I first moved to Modesto back in 1985, I walked into this shop and stayed there for over 22 years! Ted Beale and family ran it then and I became a true regular. Now that Rob Coey is the owner that friendliness and family atmosphere has been faithfully maintained! Halloween and Christmas is always the best time, when all the decorations get hung from the ceiling! Fun, Freindly, Fast, Excellent Food – I understand that the Ice Cream Company is under new ownership and I have to say that they are doing an excellent job! The staff were friendly, efficient and very fun. The food was excellent and the Ice Cream was to die for! If you are looking for a great place to sit down and have a wonderful sandwich or just an Ice Cream with friends this is "the" place to go!
