Just got a call asking for payment to transport my mother from a facility she's been in for a couple of months because the transport company 'isn't confident that medicare would pay because 'it's not medically necessary'. It is. She's bedridden, cannot walk & has been in an bed since December 22nd 2025 (today is March 11, 2026) and can't even hold herself up anymore. Transport was arranged by meadow park. I only gave 2 stars cause of the drivers. They are really nice. The drop off was really fast and quick from Melvin. But when I wanted to get picked up from my Drs appointment it took over 3 hours… I kept calling and they kept saying the drivers are 40 minutes away. One time I called and a guy picked up and said the driver was there but that I went to an ER. I was confused because I wasn’t even next to an hospital. This is deplorable. The ambulance personnel are here to drop my mom off from Notthwest Hospital and they are refusing to put on shoe booties to bring her into my home. This is beyond ridiculous, because it was understood that the transporters would put on the shoe covers to bring my mom in. Know it’s another story about policy. This is ridiculous and inexcusable. I will be contacting an attorney and my congressman.
I needed to find a transport for my mom and after calling 4 other companies and hitting dead ends. I was given I Care's phone number by a competitor. They arrived 10 minutes early, got my mom down the stairs and into the transport without any issues. The techs, Othman and Shannon explained the process as we went along, stayed with us throughout the appointment and returned her home safe and sound.
