This is my second IBC boiler in 20 years and although the first boiler worked well this replacement boiler (2 years old) has been nothing but problems from the beginning. Constant ignition issues that have not been resolved. I will spend the money to replace the system and never again will I use an IBC product.
Added update: Dec 2024 Low RPM/Air Flow again. I tried many times to reset, but it doesn’t work. I don’t understand how come this company is still in business. I serviced it last year. Still… DON’T choose IBC boiler!! Added update: September 23 The IBC boiler failed twice again lately. It needs to manually reset. IBC sent their technician came two months ago and said that they updated the whole system to the current new model equivalent. I really hate to deal with this every two months. Their technical support is abysmal. After waiting for 15 minutes to get a call back, the tech refused to do any simple troubleshooting with me to see if the issue could be resolved. This was even after I told the tech that it was dumping snow out right now. Absolutely rude and zero help. Told me I had to call a technician and they'd only troubleshoot with them. Do not buy. Our boiler was installed in a new build we purchased less than two years ago and has failed twice due to manufacturing defects. IBCs warranty only covers parts and not installation costs, which have so far totaled almost $2,000 - approaching the retail cost of the boiler itself. Additionally the process for warranty is laborious. You need to front the cost of the part, fill out a form then request reimbursement.
