Doc is awesome. Changed my life. I had gastric sleeve done by him and he always kept tabs on me and made sure everything was on point. I thank this man forever!!
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but i was a patient of Dr. Soriano at Penn. I spent 1.5 years getting my clearances completed to find out that my insurance didn't cover gastric sleeve. Also found out that his office knew I wasn't covered and never called me. Multiple calls have not been returned. I guess they "are sorry" that I lost a year and a half trying to get ready for a surgery I was never going to have. For an institution as good as Penn, that's not good enough. Poor at best.
Dr. Soriano is great. He wouldn't do my hernia surgery until I Iost weight, I did, and believe doing that made me healthier, and helped me recover faster. I was very nervous about the surgery, but he reassured me that all would go well, and it did. I had surgery 2 weeks ago, and felt 100% 4 days after the surgery. My post-op appointment yesterday, and he was very pleased with my progress.
Dr. Soriano is an ideal blend of brilliance and caring. I was stressed about my large hernia, however, Dr. Soriano reassured me and came up with a plan that produced the best results possible, not only fixing the hernia, but helping to stabilize my whole abdomen. Dr. Soriano explained everything thoroughly and showed concern for me throughout the process from planning through follow-up. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a surgeon.
