Dr. Thompson is very personable and knowledgeable. The office is very efficient in it's operations. I've only ever spent a few minutes waiting in the lobby or the exam room- Everyone I've dealt with in this practice is excellent.
Dr Thompson is great but his staff at the window are not so great they are rude his pa is awesome but the ladies at the window not so nice
Dr Thompson did surgery on my right shoulder in August 2018. I like him, his PA not so much. He was very dismissive with my questions and concerns. When I told him I thought I may have reinjured it he said he didn’t seem to think I needed another MRI. When he released me to go back to work he said if I had any trouble to come back for a cortisone shot but Dr Thompson said I won’t benefit from them. I left another surgeon today after reviewing my new MRI I have 2 tears and have surgery again.
Went to Thompson for carpel tunnel. Did no testing (EMG). Surgery was 5 minutes with me awake. Called next day in pain. Called few days later hand was unbearable. PA said put it in brace. For a month I did this! Still pain, couldn't sleep, numb fingers, etc. Went to my MD and started therapy. Its been over a year, going to different surgeon for severe carpel tunnel, 3 numb fingers, 3 trigger fingers, and tendons in wrist. Worst year of pain I have ever known!!
Pleased with care of Dr Ian Thompson, not pleased with staff. I agree with previous review, staff at window seemed rude, with feeble excuses as to why I waited 1 hr. 30 min. in waiting room. Whoever hires some of these people could do a follow up in regards to their interaction with patients.
His office ocerschedules patients; expect to wait at least 45 min to over 2 hours. The waiting area is overflowing right now. The receptionist ladies don't want to talk to you and keep their windows closed unless you make it obvious you really want to talk with them. They called me one hour before one of my appointments to reschedule. If they are calling in a rx for you, be aware that they refuse to call before 5pm. I would have asked for a hard copy. I work in healthcare. Not impressed.
I encountered the rudest medical staff ever at the doctor's office. especially a nurse named Amy. I absolutely would not recommend this doctor. He and his staff have no compassion and no caring for patients. This doctor should be ashamed of how his staff behaves towards patients. Please take my advise and go somewhere else for care.
He went above and beyond normal job duties to take care of my mom! He took a lot of extra care and time with her! So thankful for doctors who really care!
