Tried to request my in laws contract information for OVER 1 year agreeing to pay the $50 fee multiple times. Tried to contact them numerous times via email, phone, and calling a random person at their head office. I was told to request a new advisor and would receive a response within 2-3 business days. 2 weeks later no response. Terrible and very frustrate with their service. I got insurance for my parents and the agent literally charged me approximately 600$ upfront and when i contact him afterwards he BLOCKED my number didn’t respond to any of my messages. Also the agent charged me $1328 per person and gave me the standard policy. Which is insane. I would have go to other insurance companies and get the standard policy for 1000$ . Been using their iA TFSA account but it's a pain in the ass when withdrawing your money. Also, they deducted $400 on my account without my knowledge and telling me that they don't see it on their end. I've called their hotline multiple times and the agents are unable to help. Won't recommend this to anybody. Best to just use a bank TFSA account.
Beware of iA Financial group. My parents have been paying into their policies for years. They never received an invoice, follow up, and after speaking to an agent, they stated they sent my mother a notice of cancellation during the mail strike and subsequently cancelled the policy within the time frame of the strike.
