I had a very poor experience at this centre. Made an appointment for 2pm arrived early to ensure I had all my details accurate as this was my first visit. 2:15pm they told me it was gong to another 5 min until I could get seen. On the plus side one of the receptionist was sitting on her phone texting while she was on the phone to another person who I assume was a friend.
This would have to be the WORST experience in having to wait for I-MED's call centre to reply (48 mins) and then make the appointment (12 mins) = 1 hour! To make an appointment! This is not the first time that I've experienced this total waste of my time - also in other suburbs. I couldn't book it online as it was for an US & and x-ray, and there was no other phone number I could find to ring someone else in I-MED's labyrinth of menus and wait times. You've lost me, I-MED. The person booked in after me was taken in before me and I had to wait. What's the point in booking an appointment? Very disrespectful of their customer's time. In regards to the response provided below - there was no delay due to clinical reasons. The receptionist said the person scheduled after me was allowed in ahead of me. I have been going to IMED Mentone for over 45 Years.Monday I had an xray on my knee and the woman on the front desk was condescending and rude.I went back today to book another appointment for a cortisone shot and she could not be less helpful if she tried.The Dr had written bulk bill on the referral and I was told they don't do that and that it was a private practice.I told her I had a concession card and she said I would have to pay the balance after the Medicare Rebate .They have always Bulk Billed.My daughter had the sam... read more
