I Do Pretty has been in existence for years as a traveling beauty team, but didn't have a brick-and-mortar salon until 2020. Our salon, located in Ankeny, Iowa, is a space we're very proud of. It's spacious and inviting whether you're popping in alone for a haircut or bringing your girl gang with you to get ready for your wedding! We also still frequently travel to wherever your wedding or event takes us! We currently offer services in the areas of hair care, skin care, makeup, brow and lash services, waxing, and massage.

Communication started off great — I was able to get confirmation for my wedding hair services without any issues. However, about two weeks before my wedding, I reached out to the stylist assigned to me, only to learn that she no longer worked there. This left me wondering if the company would have ever informed me had I not reached out myself. Allyson made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Her calm and warm presence helped put me at ease and made me feel confident going into the day. I received so many compliments on how beautiful and bridal I looked. Would recommend Allyson and the I Do Pretty team to any bride!

I need to start by saying my rating is not at all reflective of my makeup artist, Jija. She was amazing. She forgot to leave a touch up kit which was discussed at the trial but other than that, we were happy with our makeup. My low rating is only for the hair service provided for my wedding. It started with my trial, where the stylist messaged 50 minutes before saying she was battling some personal things and asked if the makeup artist could do it instead. I wanted it done that day as I had a dress fitting scheduled after it... read more
