I was eager to try out this conveniently placed rest stop on my long and arduous trip between Osakis and Alexandria. As I rolled my 2016 Ford F-150 XLT Edition into the parking lot and shifted the automobile into park, I was greeted by a wooden sign exclaiming 'Burgen Lake'. This left me questioning what year I was in, as any good Alexandrian knows that this rest stop's namesake has been referred to as 'Lake Burgen' for the last 50+ years.
