Honestly, the only reason I may never get a Hyundai again is the customer service across multiple service centres. The service is shocking, never experienced anything like this before. They either have no clue about the cars they service or their customer relations is nonexistent. The thing is with the number of manufacturers faults and recalls my Ioniq 5 had (all covered by warranty) one would think customer service would have been better to compensate the inconvenience as an owner had to go through. Had an issue with one of their uk dealers , Hyundai Gateshead , they delivered a car with undisclosed damage and in a dangerous state of repair. Dealer has kept my money! Hyundai uk say that the dealers are not part of Hyundai so they don’t care if I’ve had an issue as the dealers are responsible for the complaints procedure. Absolutely shameful view to take as it’s Hyundais reputation at stake , do not buy from this unprofessional company.
Paint peeling issue front bumper Hyundai Tuscon, 2 yrs old. Warranty claim rejected - no manufacturing defect, damage due to stone chipping. This is a known issue due to poor paint adhesion. Am raising with Motoring Ombudsman citing factory finish unable to withstand normal wear and tear and therefore not of merchantable quality
