Happy with the service! I enjoy this vet - they take good care of my husky and I've even boarded by dog with them. I sometimes wish I could just call up and get a recommendation on what to do with my dog rather than coming in and having to pay for a vet visit but I have a feeling most vets like to have you come in to check things out. Other than that, they take good care of my dog and are easy to work with.
Superb Veterinary Service Perhaps if your dog had been really sick you would have gone to VETS or another emergency veterinary service and if you called Hydraulic Road Animal Hospital when they were not open yet their answering machine would have referred you to them. It is unwise to say you are glad to have been turned away and found Georgetown. I have been a client at Hydraulic Road Animal Hospital for going on 20 years and have found them to be more than satisfactory in their service.
They turned me away My dog got sick overnight after I had just moved to Charlottesville, and I tried to walk into Hydraulic Road Animal Hospital--I was waiting at their door when they opened that morning. (Note that on their Web site it said they take walk-ins!) The people at the front desk literally asked me, "What are you doing here?"
