Great place to stay
Apparently I'm allowed to ask only 2 questions of the night front desk agent before he hangs up the phone. I called tonight, and in a very friendly tone, explained that I am planning on staying with them a few months from now, but I am concerned because I had read several negative reviews (mainly on Expedia) about disturbances due to construction/renovation at the property. Unfortunate, bed was very uncomfortable. Bed was to low did not have a boxspring. Mattress was very worn out. Dipped in the middle. Not great with individuals with back issues. We could not get Government discount or add member number to reservation for points. Employees need to be on the same page as far as customer service information.
I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at this hotel. As an African American guest, I did not feel welcomed or treated fairly by the staff. The behavior I encountered felt discriminatory and unacceptable. It’s disheartening to say, but if you’re African American, I would strongly advise against staying here. I will be taking legal action regarding this matter, including against the general manager. No one deserves to be treated this way, and I hope steps are taken to hold this establishment accountable.
