So far I’ve been impressed with the Hyatt Place Medford. Check-in was easy, the room is recently renovated, clean, and feels pretty new throughout. All of my interactions with the staff have been good as well. As a Hyatt GM, I probably notice more than the average guest, and this property has made a solid first impression.

This was definitely one of the worst hotels we’ve stayed at. The elevators weren’t working so we had to climb 8 hours to our room, that smelled like mold and cat pee. The ac unit also sounded like an alarm. They were nice enough to move our room after we complained but the next room smelled like mildew. The whole place felt very dirty and was hard to sleep in but they were nice people. I’ve also never stayed at a hotel were they charge you $15 to park

My family stayed here last weekend for a funeral of an aunt who was 88. The elevator did not work the Morton her funeral. I was told by another guest they encountered the same issue while staying her last weekend and had been here over a week. I had elderly and old relatives 60-80 taking the stairs from the 8th floor. One relative did not have breakfast because while the elevator was working just in time to get a ride to the funeral, they could not make the trip down stairs with a walker for breakfast. Pros: Staff is professional and thoughtful. Room was clean and had a nice sorting area and pivoting large screen TV. Cons: Unless you like noise like kids running the halls and highway sounds, stay away from the first floor near the gym and pool. Parking garage is an added fee.
