I've used this pharmacy for the last 6 years living in Iowa City, generally I'd not have much to say up until this last week where I was struggling to figure out how I was going to get things to go through correctly with my insurance. Luckily for both Hyvee and me, Vanessa at the pharmacy was incredibly helpful and was proactive in reaching out to my insurance when she saw things come through for me and worked to make sure I was able to get my meds. I rely on this pharmacy for my medications and understand that it can get very busy, but my experience on April 1 was disappointing. Multiple pharmacists I interacted with were dismissive and unprofessional in tone, which made me feel uncomfortable as a patient. Additionally, there was confusion about where my medication was sent—my chart indicated Hy-Vee Waterfront, and the nurse I spoke with confirmed that, yet I was told it was sent to a different location. Lynn the pharmacist or whatever she is is a complete snob! Any time I get her I get nothing but attitude and snarkiness. Everyone else seems helpful but her and because of the level of service she served up today I have discontinued using them to get my prescriptions. I’ll go back to Walgreens or at least they know what they’re doing and they thoroughly explain things plus they don’t act like they’re being bothered when a customer calls.
